Feron Zero-Ohm
Zero-Ohm (E+I, air gap): maximum core effect, extremely low RDC, cabinet mounting. The Zero-Ohm coil uses an E-core and an I-core together and additionally has a defined air gap. This puts the most Feron into the magnetic circuit, the maximum core effect within the Feron family. The result is extremely low ohmic resistance at comparable inductance, hardly achievable otherwise.
Feron Transformer Core
The Feron transformer core coil uses an E core made of grain-oriented Feron sheet and has a significantly stronger magnetic circuit than the I core. This makes it possible to achieve even large inductors with very low internal resistance — ideal for bass and root tone.
The load capacity is usually above 1000 watts . This design is typically mechanically mounted in the housing, not on the printed circuit board.
The result: maximum control, level stability and dynamics under load.

Feron I-Core
Economical, very compact, board-mountable, lowest core effect, stray field to be considered in the layout, yet very capable for its size. The I-core coil is the simplest and most affordable Feron core shape: a rod core of Feron sheet steel that supports the winding but delivers the smallest amplifying effect on the magnetic field compared to the other shapes. Precisely because of this it is very compact and well suited to board mounting. At the same time, within the compact core coil class, it handles considerably more than geometrically comparable Aronit or ferrite core coils.
Feron I-Core
The Feron I-Core coil uses a rod core made of grain-oriented Feron sheet metal and incorporates the material advantages of Feron in a particularly compact design. It integrates seamlessly and is frequently used on printed circuit boards.
Due to its open-core design, it remains exceptionally robust for its size and operates very cleanly at both low and high signal levels. The RDC is higher than the E-Core or Zero Ohm, but the design is significantly more economical and space-saving.
A clean layout remains important, as the magnetic stray field must be considered for PCB mounting.

Feron TransformerCore
More core effect, considerably lower RDC at high inductance, usually cabinet-mounted. The E-core coil (transformer core coil) has considerably more iron in the magnetic circuit than the I-core coil. At high inductance it therefore achieves comparatively much lower ohmic resistance (RDC), because less copper path is needed for the same inductance value. This design is particularly strong wherever low resistance and high inductance have to come together.
Zero-Ohm Core
The Feron zero-ohm coil combines E and I cores with a defined air gap that prevents core saturation and enables extremely low RDC values with high inductance. The core size determines RDC and load capacity; our zero-ohm coils are designed to guarantee at least 300 watts, and significantly more for larger cores or smaller inductors.
The defined air gap ensures controlled behavior under load and high level reserves. This design is typically mounted in the housing.
The result: maximally tight, controlled bass without compression.
