H-Core
The H-Core has a relatively closed magnetic circuit and therefore operates particularly efficiently. For the same inductance, less conductor length – and thus less copper – is required, which is why very low RDC values are possible in a compact design.
The trade-off is the saturation margin: H-Cores saturate sooner than P-Cores at high currents. When properly designed, the H-Core delivers a very tight, controlled sound reproduction with high efficiency.
It is particularly well-suited when low resistance and space savings are priorities.
