OFC Copper (oxygen-free copper)

OFC copper (oxygen-free copper) is characterized by a purity of at least 99.95% copper, often even 99.99% (4N) or higher. The extremely low oxygen content of typically below 10 ppm is characteristic. This creates more stable grain boundaries, less oxide formation and the flow of electrons is more uniform. In practice, OFC copper is therefore preferred in audio, high-frequency and precision applications.
