MCoil VSCU • Feron I-Core Copper Foil Paper

The MCoil VSCU is our I-core inductor with a Feron core, copper-foil conductor and paper-based insulator – compact, PCB-ready and designed for maximum control with minimum losses. Feron is not standard transformer sheet metal; it is made of grain-oriented silicon iron with very low remagnetization losses for clean small-signal behavior and very late saturation under load. As an I-core it exploits these material advantages in an easily integrable design and, thanks to its large air gap and open magnetic circuit, remains exceptionally load-capable for its size.

Together with the paper, the copper foil forms an extremely stable winding assembly that significantly reduces macro-microphony and minimizes energy losses caused by winding vibrations. Dynamics therefore sound cleaner and more immediate, because more energy stays in the music signal and less drains away into mechanical movement.

Musically, this manifests as a calmer, more clearly focused sound picture with a stable stage, clear contours and better fine dynamics – even at high levels. The MCoil VSCU thus combines compact Feron performance with the “silent” authority of a foil winding – ideal when the highest precision and control are required on the PCB.
