MCoil VN • Feron Zero-Ohm Resin-Impregnated

The MCoil VN is our Feron zero-ohm inductor with resin-soaked round wire – minimum resistance with maximum control. The core size strongly influences both R_DC and power handling. Our zero-ohm inductors are designed so that a power handling of at least 300 watts is guaranteed; with larger cores or lower inductance values this power handling is considerably higher.

Thanks to the combination of an E-core and I-core with a defined air gap, it achieves extremely low R_DC values at high inductance while remaining exceptionally composed under high currents. The resin soaking fixes the winding as a stable unit and significantly reduces winding vibrations and hence macro-microphony, so that the component remains mechanically “silent” even under load.

As a result, the reproduction gains calm, contour and fine dynamics, while bass impulses remain maximally taut and controlled. Typically mounted in the cabinet, the MCoil VN is the uncompromising choice for demanding low-frequency sections when maximum dynamics and authority are the priority.
