MLytic Audiograde

The MLytic Audiograde (AG) · Audio Grade Power Cap are developed for use in small power amplifiers as well as preamplifiers. In precisely these devices, the power supply has a particularly decisive influence on calm, transparency, and dynamics: even small supply dips or modulations can become noticeable as restlessness, graininess or restricted spatiality. The MLytic Audiograde is therefore not just a powerful power supply capacitor, but a component consistently designed for audio.

Compared to the ECap Power as a high-quality baseline, the MLytic Audiograde goes one step further: it combines several design measures that together pursue one goal – energy must be available exactly when it is needed, without delay and without dips, directly at the amplifier stage.

Technical Properties

Electrotechnical Optimization

Special Electrolyte

High conductivity and stable parameters under temperature and load – the foundation for low ESR and high ripple current reserve. As a result, the supply remains constant and resilient even under dynamic music loads.

Laser-Welded Terminals

Metallurgically continuous, permanently stable junctions with low contact resistances. This increases reproducibility, reduces contact-related losses, and supports uniform energy delivery under pulse and ripple loads.

Maximum Contacting of the Winding

A high number of connection tabs couples the current into the winding at multiple points. This lowers the effective ESR, reduces the effective inductance (ESL), and improves current distribution. At the same time, eddy-current losses in the electrode foil are reduced because the current is coupled into smaller segments.

Non-Magnetic Terminals

The current path remains free of magnetic involvement in the conductor. This reduces the finest current-synchronous modulations and supports calm, clean supply behavior.

Macro-Microphony

Highly Damping Hemp Paper as Insulation/Separator

The hemp paper acts as a damping, fiber-elastic interlayer in the winding. It stabilizes the winding structure and reduces coarse internal relative movements under current pulses – the supply remains calmer and is less prone to “pumping”.

Defined Mechanical Fixation (Mounting Concept)

Depending on the version, the fixation supports a controlled coupling within the device and reduces the transmission of chassis or transformer excitations to the capacitor.

Micro-Microphony

Calm Current Path Through Non-Magnetic Terminals

The finest current-synchronous effects in the conductor are minimized – particularly relevant in preamplifier stages and sensitive supply branches.

Stable Contact Points Through Laser + Multiple Contacting

Consistently stable junctions and multiple feed-in points reduce contact-related micro-modulations and keep impedance and current distribution more uniform even under dynamic loads.

Sonic Character

The MLytic Audiograde does not aim for effect, but for sovereignty. In playback, this manifests as more calm, more control, and better fine dynamics – especially where small supply modulations become immediately audible. Compared to the ECap Power, the presentation appears more stable, more contoured, and less “tense” in complex passages.

Typical Applications

  • Preamplifiers and supply sections close to the signal path with high demands on calm and transparency
  • Small power amplifiers and compact amplifiers in which energy must be available quickly and stably
  • Power supplies in which, alongside power, low modulation and reproducibility are particularly required
  • Upgrades/service when an audible improvement of the power supply is desired within limited installation space
