Metal-Foil Signal Capacitors

Metal-foil signal capacitors use a real metal foil as the electrode instead of a wafer-thin metallization – this massively increases conductivity and significantly lowers the ESR. Impulses and high current peaks can thus be transmitted with noticeably more authority and control, without the electrode itself becoming the limiting factor. At the same time, the solid foil increases the mass and mechanical stability of the winding, which reduces field-force-induced vibrations and effectively calms macro-microphony. The result is very direct, load-stable energy transfer with a powerful, controlled lower midrange and a calm, clean sound picture.
