MCoil BH • Ferrite DrumCore Baked Varnish

The MCoil BH is our ferrite roll-core inductor in an H-core design based on the high-performance ferrite HP3616: compact, precise and exceptionally clean at small-signal levels. Thanks to its relatively closed magnetic circuit it operates very efficiently magnetically and enables particularly low R_DC values in a compact design.

The decisive advance over the MCoil H is the baked varnish wire: the turns are bonded into a solid unit, which greatly reduces macro-microphony and winding vibrations. Less energy is lost in the form of mechanical movement – the sound gains calm, contour and fine dynamics.

The MCoil BH is ideal for correction networks, equalizers and precise bass or midrange applications, as long as the currents remain moderate.
