Supreme winding technique
The MCap Supreme Alu uses the series double winding of the Supreme platform: two windings with twice the target capacitance are connected in series internally. This lowers the residual inductance to a fraction of that of a single winding. The result is a capacitor with very low series inductance.
Reinforced metallization
A reinforced metallization increases the conductivity of the electrodes, enhances charge-carrier mobility and current-handling capability and stabilizes the electrical parameters even under pulse peaks.
Minimal tolerances
Tight tolerances ensure reproducible values and facilitate exact channel matching. Crossover frequencies, level ratios and soundstage imaging remain stable – an important prerequisite for consistent series-production quality and precise spatial imaging.
Macro-microphony
Supreme winding technique
The MCap Supreme Alu uses the series double winding of the Supreme platform: two windings with twice the target capacitance are connected in series internally. This increases mass and internal damping, reducing macro-microphony. The result is a capacitor with a high degree of mechanical quietness.
Potting in the housing
The winding is embedded in a housing with a visco-elastic, acoustically optimized potting compound. This very effectively damps coupled-in airborne and structure-borne sound and contributes decisively to the mechanical quietness of the component. Vibrations are converted into heat rather than into sonically harmful movement.
Oil impregnation
The oil impregnation applied after the winding process calms the winding structure deep down. Fine relative movements within the winding package are significantly reduced, and macro-microphonic effects are largely eliminated. As a result, the capacitor gains sonic composure, fine dynamics and texture.
