Angelique Copper

Angelique Copper is a copper-silver-gold alloy developed by Mundorf, whose aim is maximum musicality. The starting point is the natural substance and balance of copper. Through the targeted addition of silver and gold, the microstructure of the material is fine-tuned.

      1. Micro-microphony as a sound-determining factor

In a metallic conductor, grain boundaries, crystal lattice defects and internal mechanical stresses or crystal lattice deformations influence the flow of electrons. The more stable the structure, the smoother and more uniform the current flow.

      1. Angelique Copper consciously uses these physical relationships:

The combination of the elements enables fine control of conductivity and mechanical properties such as hardness, ductility and stress curve in the material. Grain boundaries are stabilized, lattice defects moving in the crystal are reduced and micro-changes over time are calmed down.

This can balance the noise spectrum, and the playback gains in internal stability and coherence. →

Tonal Effect

Angelique Copper creates a harmonious, coherent sound with natural warmth and distinctive timbre. Voices retain their body and expression, instruments develop their colors clearly and differentiated.

The playback appears calm, structured and can be listened to in detail — without analytical harshness or artificial sharpness. Expressiveness and tonal balance arise from the alloy itself, which combines the sound characteristics of copper, silver and gold.

Position in the portfolio

Within the Mundorf family of directors, Angelique Copper stands for the combination of musicality and controlled stability. It is the material solution for applications where timbre, coherence and long-term consistency are equally required.

Angelique Copper is therefore not a variation of copper — but a deliberately developed material architecture for sophisticated signal management.
