Capacitors

Introduction

There are many different kinds of capacitors for a wide variety of applications. What makes them so useful in crossover networks is the fact that they conduct AC current better the higher the frequency of the current is. Our comprehensive range enables you to choose exactly the right capacitor to match the requirements of every application.

Capacitor types and their uses:

1.

Electrolytic capacitors with etched foil. High capacity for oscillator circuits and equalisers.

2.

Electrolytic capacitors with unetched foil. Used in equalisers and paired with film capacitors as parallel capacitor circuits for woofers.

3.

MKT plastic film capacitors. Used as series and parallel capacitors for mid-range speakers and as parallel capacitors for woofers.

4.

MKP paper capacitors. Used as series capacitors for tweeters and as parallel capacitors for mid-range speakers.

5.

Supreme capacitors. Used as series capacitors for tweeters.

6.
Tin foil capacitors. Used in active filters and amplifier circuits.
